Membership tiers explained
Bronze, Silver, Gold, Ruby — how they work, what triggers an upgrade, and how café owners configure tier benefits.
Klicktify uses a points-based tier ladder. Members automatically move up tiers as their cumulative points grow. There are four tiers:
| Tier | Points required | Colour |
|---|---|---|
| Bronze | 0 points | Bronze / amber |
| Silver | 200 points | Silver / grey |
| Gold | 500 points | Gold / yellow |
| Ruby | 1500 points | Ruby / red |
Tiers are calculated automatically from a member's total points balance. Every time a member earns points — from a check-in, a birthday bonus, a referral bonus, or a reward redemption — the balance updates and the tier is recalculated. There is no action required from the member or the café owner.
Upgrades happen immediately. A member who was at 195 points and then earns a 10-point check-in jumps to Silver (200 points) the instant the check-in is recorded.
Tiers do not degrade. A member at Silver stays Silver even if they spend down to 150 points redeeming rewards. Their points balance decreases, but their tier only upgrades, never downgrades.
When a member opens their wallet on the storefront, they see their current balance, their tier badge, and a progress bar showing how many points they need to reach the next tier. For example: '240 points to Gold'.
At the top Ruby tier, the progress bar is hidden — Ruby is the maximum, so there is nothing above it to count toward.
The tier thresholds (200, 500, 1500) are fixed in this version of Klicktify. Café owners can configure what benefits each tier unlocks — such as bonus points multipliers, exclusive rewards, or priority access — from the Levels section of the storefront settings.
Tier benefits are displayed on the /h/[slug]/levels page visible to all storefront visitors, so members can see the incentive to keep engaging.
The storefront's leaderboard shows the top members at each café ranked by total points. Ties are resolved by join date (earlier join wins). The top 5 appear on the storefront home page; the full leaderboard is at /h/[slug]/leaderboard.
