Getting started with Klicktify
A plain-English walkthrough of the 7-step setup wizard — from naming your café to printing your QR code.
You need a Klicktify account. Head to klicktify.com and click Get started free. It takes 60 seconds — just your email, a password, and the name of your café. No card required.
Klicktify supports English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Simplified Chinese. Switch any time from the language picker in the top-right corner.
Step 1: Brand details
Pick a business category (Café, Restaurant, Bakery, Barbershop, Salon, Gym, Retail, or Other), write a short tagline, and optionally upload your logo. The tagline is shown on the membership card your customers carry, so keep it to one short phrase — something your staff and regulars will recognise at a glance.
You can skip any of the optional steps and fill them in later from your dashboard settings.
Step 2: Contact details
Enter your café's address, phone number, email, and operating hours. This information appears on your public storefront page (the page customers see when they scan your QR code) and in the Find a café directory at /h/cafes.
Step 3: Loyalty points system
Set how many points a customer earns every time they check in with their QR code. The default is 10 points per visit. You can set any number from 1 to 100 using the presets or the number field.
You can also set birthday bonus points (awarded automatically on the member's birthday) and referral rewards (points paid to both the referrer and the new member when a friend joins). These are optional — leave them at 0 if you don't want to use them.
Step 4: Create your first reward
Design at least one reward that members can redeem with their points. Start from a popular preset (Free Coffee, Free Pastry, Free Drink) or create your own. The points cost is the number of points a member needs to accumulate before they can claim it.
A useful rule of thumb: if a customer earns 10 points per visit, a 50-point reward costs them about 5 visits. That's a good balance — frequent enough to stay motivating, long enough to drive real repeat business.
Step 5: Print your QR code
This is the QR code customers scan to join your loyalty programme and to check in on future visits. Print it in A4 or A3 and stick it somewhere visible — the counter, the entrance, the pickup area. The QR encodes your café's join URL, so any first-time visitor who scans it lands directly on your join form.
The QR code URL is determined automatically from the host the browser used. If you're running the app on localhost, the QR will point to localhost — not your production domain. Set NEXT_PUBLIC_APP_URL in your environment variables before printing in production.
Step 6: Add your first member
Add a test member (yourself, or a friend) to verify the whole flow end to end. You'll see their QR code generated on screen. Scan it with your own phone to simulate a check-in and confirm the points appear in your dashboard.
You can also skip this step and add members later from the Members section of your dashboard.
Step 7: Done
You're live. From this screen you can go directly to your dashboard or open your public storefront to see how it looks to a customer. Share the QR code or the storefront URL with your team.
Nothing is locked in stone. Every setting from the wizard is editable from your dashboard at any time: go to Settings to update brand details and contact info, go to Loyalty to change points per visit, and go to Rewards to add, edit, or deactivate rewards.
